Wield All 360° of Your Mind’s Innate Power

What would it mean for you to attain a peak-performance mind? Surely, it’s about more than how high you score on an aptitude or memory test.

Clearly these are but two limited aspects of your mind state. But it’s a trick question really, because you can’t really separate your mind’s performance from your total performance as a human being.

Case in point, improvements in your physical, neurological, emotional, and nutritional fitness will all raise your mind’s net performance. These cognitive, psychological, and somatic factors make up your 360° MindPower™, a training and coaching program that raises your performance in all five areas to tap more of your mind’s performance potential. 360° MindPower Coaching (360°MPC™) empowers you to perform at a higher level, whether as a performing artist, athlete, parent, or business executive. 1. 360° Cognitive Fitness

Your cognitive fitness determines how effectively you think, learn, remember, and process information. High performance in these areas enables you to analyze situations, develop effective solutions, make informed choices, and communicate clearly. Strong cognitive performance also contributes to better emotional responses and stress management and to reading social cues and improving relationships. In many ways, your cognitive performance determines your professional success, since it empowers you to manage multiple tasks efficiently, increase productivity, and acquire new skills and knowledge—all essential for academic and career success. 360°MPC strengthens eight cognitive factors:

2. 360° Neurological Fitness

Your capacity to remain focused, calm, aware, and relaxed under pressure is critical to mental performance. In the field of neuroscience, this capacity is known as operating in the “blue zone.” 360°MPC helps you discover the types of meditation practice that are right for your personality and temperament and build a good foundation for integrating them into your life to support your ongoing progress. My clients who develop a regular meditation practice inevitably find it to be life altering. In addition to many seated and moving meditation practices, we also explore a wide variety of somatic and mindset practices such as:

  • Relaxation

  • Creative problem solving
  • Mental agility (reframing)
  • Visualization
  • PMA (Positive Mental Attitude)

3. 360° Physical Fitness

Twelve factors determine your 360° Physical Fitness. Six are health-related (cardiorespiratory fitness; muscular fitness; flexibility; body composition; vital signs; and neuromotor skills) and six are skill-related (agility; balance; reaction time; coordination; power; and speed. Improving your fitness profile in these dimensions markedly improves your cognitive performance and emotional resilience as well. Physical training in 360°MPC comprises a much wider range of physical activities than conventional weight training and aerobic conditioning, so it’s more fun and mentally stimulating for most people. Your program will incorporate movements from sports, gymnastics, track & field, playground games, dance, yoga, Pilates, plyometrics, qigong, martial arts, and more. You learn to move in more dynamic ways, under control, and gain a sense of confidence, flow, and body mastery.

4. 360° Social & Emotional Fitness

360° Social and Emotional Fitness (SEF) is crucial not only for your personal and professional success, but for your mind’s performance as well. SEI is a critical factor in improving mental health, workplace and academic performance, and in creating healthier interpersonal relationships and a more meaningful life. 360°MPC for SEF focuses on four major skillsets:

  1. Self-Awareness—recognizing your emotional states and understanding how they affect your thoughts and behaviors is the crux of SEF. You also build awareness of your strengths, vulnerabilities, motivation, and self-beliefs.
  2. Self-Regulation—managing your body, mind, and emotions in healthy ways—especially in stressful situations—is a big part of SEF. This involves learning: a) to pause and reflect before reacting to emotional triggers; b) to adapt to changing circumstances; and c) to maintain a positive outlook in the face of challenges or setbacks.
  3. Social Awareness—SEF coaching helps you cultivate empathy, the ability to tune into the emotions and needs of others. Improving your ability to read emotional cues and respond appropriately, while engaging in active listening to better understand people’s feelings and concerns, goes a long way to improving your SEF.
  4. Relationship Management—SEF is all about building and maintaining strong relationships through effective communication. This component is strengthened by learning to inspire and influence others in positive ways and by developing conflict resolution skills to turn disagreements into opportunities for greater understanding and connection.
  5. 5. 360° Nutritional Fitness

    The FDA’s 2020-2025 Dietary Guidelines for Americans has five overarching themes: 1) Follow a healthy eating pattern across your lifespan; 2) focus on variety, nutrient density, and amount; 3) limit calories from added sugars and saturated fats and reduce sodium intake; 4) shift to healthier food and beverage choices; and 5) support healthy eating patterns. 360°MPC helps you align your nutrition profile with all five goals. It starts with a complete nutritional assessment (in coordination with your healthcare provider). which evaluates eight areas: 1) Vital Signs; 2) Dietary Habits & Food Preference; 3) Food Allergies; 4) Nutrient and Fluid Intake; 5) Supplementation; 6) Anthropomorphic Measurements; 7) Alcohol & Substance Use; 8) Laboratory Tests.

    With this data in hand, we collaborate with you and your doctor(s) to improve your nutritional profile in areas that matter most. SMART goal setting and evidence-based nutrition planning are the basis for fostering real change—free of fads, quick-fixes, drugs, or gimmicks.
